Who these lessons are for
Spoken Hindi helps three groups of students: kids of families who moved states and now want their children to pick up the everyday language; students preparing for exams where a second language carries marks; and adults — parents, shopkeepers, professionals — who understand Hindi but hesitate to speak it. The lessons start from the absolute first line, namaste, and build to real situations: introductions, school talk, market bargaining, travel and phone calls.
How the 10-lesson course is structured
| Lesson | Situation | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Namaste / greetings | Hello, how are you, polite replies |
| 2 | Introducing yourself | Name, city, work or class, “I am learning Hindi” |
| 3 | Family | Mother, father, brother, sister — my/your forms |
| 4 | Numbers & money | 1–100, prices, “how much is this?” |
| 5 | Food & restaurant | Ordering, taste words, veg/non-veg questions |
| 6 | At the shop | Buying, sizes, colours, bargaining basics |
| 7 | Directions | Left, right, straight, “where is…?” |
| 8 | School & class | Subjects, timetable talk, asking a teacher |
| 9 | Phone calls | Starting a call, messages, polite requests |
| 10 | Small talk | Weather, weekend plans, likes — conversation flow |
Each lesson follows the same pattern: the situation in English first, then the Hindi lines with pronunciation, then your turn — you say the lines as voice notes and the bot corrects what it hears. Meaning first, speaking second, so you always know why you are saying something, not just what.
Why voice practice matters
Reading Hindi lines builds vocabulary, but speaking builds fluency — and the two skills live in different parts of practice. The course therefore makes you talk from lesson one: record “mujhe yeh chahiye”, hear feedback, try again. Because it happens in a private WhatsApp chat, the fear of embarrassment that stalls classroom language learning never starts.
Tips to finish all 10 lessons
- One lesson a day is enough; repeat yesterday's lines in 2 minutes before starting today's.
- Use the lines the same day — say them to a family member or in a real shop. Real use sticks ten times better.
- Say hindi next when ready, or hindi 6 to jump to a lesson. Your progress is remembered.
