Density, mass and volume

Describe how much mass occupies a given volume.

Understand the idea

Density is mass divided by volume. Always state both the mass unit and the volume unit in the result.

See a worked example

A mass of 30 g occupies 10 cm³. Density = 30/10 = 3 g/cm³.

A useful check

Do not reverse mass and volume in the division.

Try a fresh practice set

Five questions with feedback on every answer. New sets can repeat familiar ideas so you can practise again. This is practice, not a certified assessment.
